What is OmniDine? A tour of the app
Bookings, floor plan, till and kitchen screens in one place. Here's what each part does and how they fit together.

OmniDine is one app for a UK restaurant's bookings, floor, guests, till and kitchen. Instead of a booking platform, a separate EPOS, a ticket printer and a spreadsheet of regulars, everything reads from the same floor plan and the same guest list.
This guide walks through the parts of the app in the order a guest meets them: from booking online to paying the bill.
1. The booking page your guests see
Every venue gets its own booking page, at an address like /widget/your-venue. Guests pick a party size, a date and a time, and only see times that genuinely fit: OmniDine checks your opening hours, table sizes, dining durations, reset time between bookings and how many arrivals you can handle at once.
- Share it as a link, embed it on your website, or print the QR code on table cards. Match the widget to your brand with a standard card, horizontal bar or compact sidebar.
- If a date is full, guests see the nearest dates with space or can join the waitlist.
- Each confirmation has a private link to change or cancel, and a one-tap calendar download.
- Special dates like Christmas Day can be sold as priced events with a set menu.

2. Admin: where you run the restaurant
Staff sign in to the admin area. The sidebar is grouped by job, and each person only sees what their role allows.
| Area | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Bookings | Today's service list, the live floor view, the table diary, walk-ins and the waitlist. |
| Floor plan | Draw rooms, tables, walls and doors. Set which tables join and how many each seats. Schedule active tables and combinations by date range, weekday and service. |
| Events | Priced dates such as Mother's Day, with covers sold and money taken so far. |
| Guests | Profiles with visit history, no-shows, tags, notes, spend and marketing consent. |
| Guest messages | Every confirmation, reminder and text sent, with a retry button for failures. |
| Point of sale, Kitchen, Menu | The till, the kitchen and bar screens, and your menu (till plans). |
| Deposits | Deposits, card guarantees, refunds and no-show charges. |
| Reports | Covers, sales, no-shows, discounts and where bookings came from. |
| Settings and Team | Opening times, booking rules, Stripe, your booking link, and staff invitations. |

3. The till and kitchen screens
On the Reservations + Till plan, servers ring orders into a touch till on an iPad or desktop. Bills sit on the same floor-plan tables the booking used. Orders split automatically into kitchen and bar tickets, which appear on a kitchen display with timers. When the guest pays, any deposit they paid online comes off the bill.
4. Who sees what
There are five roles: Owner, Manager, Host, Server and Kitchen. Kitchen staff only see the kitchen screen. Only managers can give discounts, void items or refund. Every money movement is recorded in an audit trail.
5. Plans
- Reservations, free for one venue: bookings, events, floor plan, deposits, reminders, guests and reports.
- Reservations + Till, £10 a month: everything above plus the till and kitchen screens.
- Multi-venue, £50 a month: everything for unlimited venues, plus the all-venues report.
